Hospital in western Washington is seeking a Clinical Manager of Surgical Services. This position is responsible for the direction of patient care in the operative environment. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Services and manages staff in the surgical services department. Consults with staff, physicians, and department director on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality improvement activities. Responsibility encompasses 3 OR suites, expanding to 4; 20 FTEs; and up to 3,600 surgeries per year. Qualifications include: Current WA RN license; Bachelors degree in nursing or related field required, but consideration if bachelors degree is currently in process in lieu of completed degree; 3+ years perioperative experience in an OR of like size or scope; previous management experience and/or charge nurse experience preferred; familiarity with a wide variety of OR/PACU equipment required. Experience with Horizon Surgical Manager information system preferred. Salary is from $90K to $108K, plus full benefits and relocation assistance.
